Are you meticulous and organized? Our logistics company is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Dallas, Texas facility. This key position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, auditing, and systematic controls. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly by preventing stock discrepancies and optimizing inventory levels. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure correct stock placement.
- Oversee the returned goods process, including inspection and disposition.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and movement for management.
- Train and mentor other warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret data and generate meaningful reports.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and perform tasks requiring standing and walking.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
