We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Material Handler to join our team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse by moving, organizing, and managing materials and inventory. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that materials are stored correctly and efficiently. This position demands physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a strong adherence to safety protocols. You will contribute to maintaining an organized workspace, which is critical for efficient logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
