We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the outbound shipment process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with shipping regulations. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This position is key to our logistics operations, ensuring that our products reach their destinations efficiently and without issue.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and are accurately packed.
- Ensure all shipments are properly labeled and meet carrier requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Monitor inventory levels for shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and company policies.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used and maintained.
- Support the overall efficiency of the company's Logistics department.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role is required.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL).
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Must be able to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
