We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our high-volume distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include transporting inventory within the facility, stacking products, and ensuring smooth operations for our logistics network. A strong commitment to safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator to contribute to a leading company in the Atlanta area.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with accuracy and speed.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and placement as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
