We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy Orlando, Florida warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and put away efficiently. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving dock.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received goods accurately in the warehouse management system.
- Label and stage inventory for put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed, including some lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure smooth operations within our logistics receiving department, focusing on safety and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity and moderate lifting. Basic computer proficiency for data entry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of safety procedures is essential. Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus. Must be reliable and able to work independently.
