Are you a skilled and certified Reach Truck Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Sacramento? We are actively recruiting for a proficient Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will navigate narrow aisles, transport goods to and from racks, and ensure optimal warehouse organization and flow. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are readily available for shipping and receiving processes. We value precision and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload pallets from racking systems at various heights.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials to and from designated areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on the reach truck and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse layout, ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and maintaining a safe working distance from others.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Follow all logistics and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Contribute to a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring aisles and docks are clear.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed, provided proper training.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics flow.
- Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
