Adventist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a job in Marysville, California. Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Centered in the heart of Yuba-Sutter County, Adventist Health and Rideout has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1907. We are comprised of a 221-bed hospital, 21 physician clinics, home care services, comprehensive cancer care and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout Marysville and the surrounding areas. The allure of Marysville's community is complimented by its proximity to major metropolitan cities in the Bay Area and Sacramento, as well as just a quick drive to Lake Tahoe. Facilitates physician's performance of invasive and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly monitoring the maintenance of the sterile field. Education and Work Experience: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology: Required Relevant acute care experience: National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room. Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure. Anticipates surgeon’s needs of additional supplies. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed. Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure. Helps drape sterile field.
