What you’ll do:
The Advisor Services (AS) Cost Basis Team services all Schwab advisors with their tax, cost basis and statement needs. Daily tasks include answering phone calls discussing Schwab’s cost basis offering, answer tax reporting and statement questions, researching corporate actions and offering flexible solutions that best fit each advisor’s needs. We pride ourselves in providing superior customer service while being detail-oriented. Successful team members are eager learners who thrive in a fast-paced, professional setting.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Answer in-bound calls from Advisors and internal business partners
- Respond to client and service team requests received via email
- Conduct training for Advisors and Business Partners
- Accurately process statement and cost basis enrollment forms
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1+ year experience in the financial industry
- 6+ months Customer Service experience (internships and collegiate activities will be considered)
- Intermediate Excel skills- ability to handle large amounts of data using Excel
- Candidates must possess the ability to conduct superior follow-up, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Knowledge in internet-based research, personal workstations/desktop applications
- Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple processes/projects
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with regulatory or risk issues preferred
- SIE or Series 7 preferred, but not required
- Cost basis and tax knowledge is preferred, but not required.
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
