*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse patient populations, with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using standardized tools and clinical observations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including therapy goals and intervention strategies.
* Provide evidence-based speech therapy services to children and adolescents, particularly in pediatric settings and early intervention programs.
* Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment approaches accordingly to ensure optimal improvement.
* Educate patients and their families about communication disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies for ongoing support at home.
* Collaborate with educators, physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
* Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities.
*Requirements*
* Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
* Prior school or pediatric experience is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions.
* Experience with patient assessment tools and medical terminology relevant to communication disorders.
* Familiarity with early intervention practices and pediatric developmental milestones.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
* Commitment to providing compassionate patient care in diverse clinical settings.
* Must be willing to work with autitistic children
Pay: $46.03 - $55.43 per hour
