Kitchen Team Member

Overview:   Our kitchen team member is responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes and ensuring high-quality service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality food items in accordance with established production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Use correct portioning and maintain outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Taste all prepared food items.
• Collect tickets during service periods and maintain accurate records from the area worked.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy after preparation and serving, adhering to high standards of cleanliness.
• Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record-keeping, and reporting as required.
• Participate in inventory management and ordering processes.
• Report any needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform job duties safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with HACCP standards for proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.

Essential Qualifications:

• Previous cooking experience is required.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects and materials.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
