Bakery Team Member Role
  • Provide support as a member of the bakery team, receiving and preparing products, maintaining the bakery area and displays, selling product in accordance with store standards.
  • Perform all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
  • Stock and maintain shelves, bins, and display areas.
  • Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisors.
  • Maintain back stock in good order.
  • Assist with sampling programs, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
  • Participate in periodic inventory checks.
  • Arrive at work stations on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques; answer phones and pages promptly and courteously.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Examine products visually for quality and freshness.
  • Develop knowledge of various products.
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks.
