- Provide support as a member of the bakery team, receiving and preparing products, maintaining the bakery area and displays, selling product in accordance with store standards.
- Perform all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves.

- Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
- Stock and maintain shelves, bins, and display areas.
- Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisors.
- Maintain back stock in good order.
- Assist with sampling programs, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
- Participate in periodic inventory checks.
- Arrive at work stations on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
- Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques; answer phones and pages promptly and courteously.
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Sell proactively.
- Learn basic knowledge of products carried in department.
- Examine products visually for quality and freshness.
- Develop knowledge of various products.
- Assist with periodic inventory checks.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions.
- Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills.
