Senior Executive Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Pastry Cook to join our team in an upscale plant-based restaurant in South Brooklyn. The successful candidate will work closely with the Culinary Director and Chef de Cuisine to prepare food to exact specifications, set up stations, and assist with daily tasks.

• We require a professional who can set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• The ideal candidate will be able to cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff.
• Excellent communication skills are essential to answer and report to the Culinary Director and Chef de Cuisine instructions.
• The successful candidate must ensure that food is prepared simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
• We expect all candidates to comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• A positive and professional approach towards coworkers and customers is a must.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in pastry disciplines.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with industry practice.
• Culinary school diploma.
• Food Handler's Safety Certificate.
