• We are looking for a Cook who performs all functions related to proper food preparation and maintenance of the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars.

About the Job:

1. You will prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets.
2. You will ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
3. You will provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques; answer phones and pages promptly and courteously.
4. You will maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
5. You will follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
6. You will maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards; ensure walk-ins and freezers are clean and organized.
7. You will perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
8. You will immediately report safety hazards and violations.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Thorough product knowledge.
• Ability to follow a recipe.
• Good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Passion for natural foods.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Understanding of and compliance with quality goals.
