Culinary Leader Wanted

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role is a unique blend of creative leadership and operational excellence, requiring the ability to shape seasonal menus inspired by local ingredients, manage food and labor costs, and mentor junior chefs.

This position reports directly to the Managing Director and is part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to igniting curiosity in Appalachian youth through real-life learning experiences. Our businesses provide opportunities for young people to develop skills and gain confidence in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for farm-to-table cuisine, experience in managing high-volume kitchens, and a commitment to mentoring and developing team members. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution, staying up-to-date with industry trends, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

• Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and inspire creativity
• Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve high standards of quality and service
• Manage food and labor costs, ensure efficient kitchen operations, and maintain a safe working environment
• Train and develop junior chefs, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Willingness to commute or relocate to Wardensville, WV (if necessary)
