As a Server at The Langham, Boston, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional guest service, ensuring every interaction is warm, welcoming, and friendly. You will be part of a team that shares a passion for delivering outstanding experiences, with a focus on hospitality, respect, and care for our guests and colleagues alike.

Your key duties will include:

• Greeting guests and taking beverage/food orders with a smile
• Setting up the lounge/restaurant for evening cocktail and dinner service with precision and attention to detail
• Serving beverages/food per established standard procedures, ensuring every dish is presented with flair
• Upselling additional items to all guests, always staying attuned to their preferences
• Responding promptly to guests' requests and reporting their experience to management
• Providing maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hotel standards, exceeding expectations at every turn

You will also assist the bartender/busser/barback as needed, maintain cleanliness of work areas, complete assigned opening and closing side work, and be flexible to work variable schedule hours and days.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• 2+ years of serving experience in a high-end/fine dining restaurant establishment, with knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, craft cocktails, and food
• Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to speak with guests and make minor decisions requiring limited judgment
• A positive attitude, with the ability to work as a team player and set an example among colleagues
• TIPS certification, or willingness to obtain it
