Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Professional to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional creativity, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills.
The primary responsibilities of this role include managing pastry production, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, supervising employees, and ensuring effective inventory management.
- Develop innovative recipes and menus
- Manage daily operations in the pastry department
- Responsible for food production, quality assurance, cost control, employee training, and relations
- Have excellent English communication skills
- Nurture and maintain a positive work environment
- Conduct regular meetings on food-related issues
- Ensure necessary supplies are available
- Utilize computer skills efficiently and be familiar with our operational systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations: Manage labor costs, monitor overtime, adhere to budgeted food costs, minimize waste, negotiate with suppliers, track purchasing, review financial reports with management, monitor prices and revenue
- Employees: Recruit, classify, interview potential employees, schedule staff, conduct training sessions, lead regular meetings, process hiring information, introduce new employees to company policies, ensure consistent application of benefits and meals, recognize employee morale, handle conflicts, enforce discipline
- Maintenance: Monitor maintenance schedules, collaborate with cooks to maintain kitchen equipment, supervise the appearance of kitchen and storerooms, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
