Reporting to the President, the incumbent will prepare review, distribute and assemble contract documents and oversee all aspects of construction acting as the Owners Representative, as well overseeing the Owners contract administration.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and manage a team of professionals for successful project execution, while assuring adherence to established administrative processes and procedures
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with all client representatives and service providers operating on the projects
  • Lead construction meetings on all projects. Serve as liaison between the client and all other project resources, including the constructor and the consultants
  • Monitor and report on all Constructor activities, both on-site and off-site.
  • Accurately report and forecast project budgets and schedules
  • Proactively identify, report and mitigate all project risks
  • Adhere to all project management processes that are applicable for each project
  • Accurate forecasting and development of the budget
  • Responsible for timely review and processing of all invoices
  • Consistently meets budget and schedule performance goals
  • Reads and understands documents defining projects including commitments to the Clients internal stakeholder, reviews any leases and abstracts to comply with the lease to secure Landlord approvals prior to work and determine responsibility for funding project
  • Competitively bid all vendor services for each project as required or necessary
  • Proven track record in all phases of Corporate Real Estate Project Management / Owners representative activities; end-to-end project accountability
  • Meet with client prior to each project to define project requirements, identify success factors, develop measurement tools and communicate measurable added value to the client ensure contracting process is followed and service levels are met in compliance with agreements
  • Manage project finances for respective project budgets
  • Submit timely Cost and Schedule Change Requests, after reviewing and analyzing them to ensure variance does not exceed current defined threshold and that changes proposed represent entitlement for the change and that the cost provided within the change is in line with the contract and that costs are representative of industry standards.
  • Perform construction administration services
  • Oversee FF&E procurement and installation
  • Act as an owners rep. throughout the project

Key Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel with access to a car potentially daily
  • Willingness to be part of an imbedded team that is blended with the Client's own internal team and stakeholders
  • Proven Leadership Skills and experience is managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years experience related to all aspects of Design / Construction / Project Management / Owners Representative at a senior level
  • PMP accreditation beneficial but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of basic business practices
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Demonstrated skills in all Microsoft Office Suite applications including MS Project

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
