Job Description:

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Support and lead production activities with good management practices and standard operation procedures.
  • Supervise the daily/routine activities of the production team to ensure product quality and care responsibilities are performed consistently and effectively by employees.
  • Work handson in the production facilities to lead the work load, demonstrate expectations, and train employees.
  • Ensure processed and procedures are efficient and performed in a cost-effective manner. Continuously improve work methods and coordinate problem solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • Perform administrative duties including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Achieve target quota and any other operation related responsibilities may be added as the company continues to grow.
  • Provide input on best practices, policies and procedures with respect to the others.
  • Follow all procedures in compliance of Advanced Skytech Canada standard policy and operation regulations

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience & Education

  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse production line management.
  • Progressive experience from a related industry is an asset.
  • Proven experience in leading a group of at least 50 members.
  • Completion of a degree from a recognized university or college in a business-related field, or equivalent business experience.

Skills

  • Leadership: Advanced leadership skills with excellent interpersonal abilities focused on a collaborative approach.
  • Production Knowledge: Familiarity with production and quality control processes. Experience in production planning or material planning and tracking is an asset.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in computer applications, including the MS Office Suite.
  • Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Additional Skills: Background in 5S, Lean manufacturing, PDCA, and Poka Yoke is an asset.

Environment

  • Familiarity with the warehouse production environment.
  • Strong sense of the big picture.
  • Able to work steadily for extended periods.

Salary: Negotiable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
