Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is vital in ensuring smooth food preparation and service operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food handling, and teamwork, with previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings preferred.

Required to have a valid Food Handler Certification.

Duties

• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning
• Help with food handling and storage to ensure safety and compliance with health standards
• Support the setup and breakdown of dining areas as needed
• Assist in serving food and beverages to guests in hospitality environments
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed throughout all kitchen activities
• Stock supplies and ingredients to ensure availability during service hours
• Support other kitchen staff with miscellaneous tasks to facilitate smooth operations

Requirements

• Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards
• Ability to handle food safely and responsibly with proper food handling techniques
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation processes
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Previous experience with hospitality services such as serving or hotel operations is a plus
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
