Caution Tape Robotics Club is a leader in robotics education through VEX in Ontario, Canada, and has been inspiring students to excel through hands-on learning and innovation. We offer fun and exciting STEM programs that include Introduction to VEX Robotics, programming, 3D printing, and Maker Club Projects for kids 5-12 years old. Caution Tape Robotics Club is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with kids, can bring excitement and doesn't hold back from innovating and improving when possible
We Are Seeking: An empathetic and proactive VEX IQ Competition coach who is passionate about fostering a love for learning in young students. This role is perfect for individuals who are not only skilled in conveying complex concepts from G4 to 8 students but are also dedicated to nurturing their STEM knowledge and compentancy in the STEM fields.
Position: Robotics Coach
Work Schedule:
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Sundays: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging robotics lessons, utilizing visual and audio aids to enhance student learning.
- Caring and patiently assess and monitor student progress, providing individualized feedback and support to foster each student's unique growth.
- Maintain an organized and conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the club organizer to address parental and student inquiries.
- Design and implement interactive educational activities, games, and events.
- Serve as a positive role model, sharing your achievements and experiences in STEM.
- Recognize and report any concerns regarding student welfare.
Qualifications:
- Have been an active member in VEX and/or First Robotics Competition
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring with students in primary grade.
- related STEM and educational field) is highly valued.
- A robust understanding of STEM disciplines, especially in robotics and programming.
- Familiarity with educational best practices and adherence to our club's policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage young learners.
- Organized, creative, and enthusiastic about STEM education.
- Upholds strong ethical standards and discipline.
- Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months.
- First Aid & CPR Certification is an asset.
Contract: Part-time for minimum 3 months
