Bakery Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
Your primary responsibility as a Bakery Specialist will be to create high-quality pastry menu items under the guidance of the Pastry Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote, handle and prepare all bakery/pastry items and ingredients effectively.
- You will prep, cook and season all food according to the recipe while ensuring quality standards.
- Maintain timely control over food production.
- Maintain cleanliness of your station and adhere to all kitchen maintenance and sanitation regulations.
- Have up-to-date knowledge of the menu (including preparation, seasoning, ingredients and plate presentation).
- Adhere to proper methods for preparing and cooking food.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is necessary. Familiarity with various phases of food preparation and related techniques is required.
Work Environment:
Mobility and dexterity are essential for moving large objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Manual dexterity is also necessary for handling kitchen utensils and food items. Tolerance for industry-standard cleaning chemicals is required, as well as the ability to withstand a hot environment.
