The Pantry Cook role is a dynamic opportunity to join our culinary team and contribute to the success of our hybrid bookstore, café, and wine bar in New York's SoHo neighborhood.
- Prepare and cook menu items for customers, including cheeses, charcuterie, tinned fish, salads, and sandwiches.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while exuding a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation during service.
This role requires strong attention to detail, positive leadership, and ability to lift heavy boxes (at least 40 lbs). The Pantry Chef/Prep Cook will be involved in new menu development and culinary projects.
RequirementsWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who possesses excellent cooking skills, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Key qualifications include:
- A passion for food preparation and presentation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Able to lift heavy boxes (at least 40 lbs)
