As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support in various roles, including counter service, stocking, and sanitation. You will also be expected to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
  • Maintain back stock in good order.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.
  • Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
  • Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
  • Skin, bone, and cook or smoke fish; box up, label, and date cooked fish.
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks.
  • Arrive on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to sell proactively.
  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
  • Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
  • Read labels and familiarize oneself on various products.
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Follow directions and procedures effectively; demonstrate strong time management and organization skills.
