Culinary Team Member

Experienced cooks are sought to join our culinary team in a busy Honolulu restaurant. We are the 2022 James Beard winner for Best Chef Northwest & Pacific and take pride in serving high-quality seasonal New American cuisine.

• Ensure stations are set up with necessary supplies and stocked accordingly.
• Prepare food items such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces in accordance with established procedures.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
• Respond promptly to executive or chef de cuisine instructions and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of stations and manage leftover food effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
• Coordinate food preparation to ensure simultaneous and quality delivery.
• Adhere to established nutrition and sanitation regulations, safety standards and company policies.
• Foster positive and professional relationships with coworkers and customers.

• Proven experience in cooking, including line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook roles.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Demonstrate accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
