The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Chef, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
This position is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards, assisting with daily prep work, maintaining cleanliness, and keeping a well-organized station during service.
- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook menu items consistently according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Team Support: Assist the Chef with prep tasks, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Station Management: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly workstation at all times.
- Service Efficiency: Support the Chef during service by ensuring timely production and proper plating of dishes.
- Inventory Management: Help receive, rotate, and store inventory following food-safety guidelines.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all kitchen safety protocols, including proper handling of equipment and food.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the Chef and team to ensure a smooth service flow.
- Closing Duties: Assist with closing duties: cleaning, labeling, storing ingredients, and resetting stations.
- Flexibility: Step into other kitchen tasks as needed, supporting a team-oriented environment.
