Prepared Food Specialist

• Cut, prepare, and serve hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and pizza.
• Sample products to customers.
• Stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from the kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators.
• Check product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary.
• Bail and consolidate recyclables.
• Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, dressed, and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service, address needs promptly, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.

• Learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.

• Lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
• Use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Temperatures: 90°F.
• Work in wet and dry conditions.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
