Fresh Food Specialist

• Ensure a fresh display by checking quality, keeping cases clean, rotating products, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Maintain a safe working and shopping environment.
• Assist with sampling program and keep sample areas full and clean.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, and floors as required.
• Skin, bone, and cook or smoke fish; box, label, and date cooked fish.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.

• Sell proactively.
• Learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
• Visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Familiarize oneself on various products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to customers and vendors.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills.
• Passion for natural foods.
