Your expertise will enable you to implement innovative solutions and lead collaborative projects with a high environmental impact, actively contributing to carbon neutrality and the conservation of natural environments.

The Responsibilities
  • Develop and propose strategic directions and environmental policies aligned with objectives such as carbon neutrality and positive biodiversity.

  • Ensure that partnerships are consistent with public policy and collaborate with federal and provincial authorities.
  • Lead and coordinate environmental projects, including carbon offset initiatives, ecological restoration and applied research.
  • Collaborate with the internal team and private development partner to implement appropriate action plans and ensure follow‑up on commitments.
  • Participate in the planning and supervision of communication, consultation and public engagement activities related to the project.
The Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (environment, engineering, science or equivalent); master’s degree in management or environmental studies considered an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with knowledge of linear projects, the railway sector or transportation.
  • Experience in the public or parapublic sector desired.
  • Proficiency in provincial and federal regulatory frameworks and environmental compliance processes.
  • Significant experience in regulatory processes (federal and/or provincial).
  • Good knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14001, Act4Nature, TNFD).
  • In‑depth understanding of environmental issues and assessments, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to influence and mobilise internally around environmental objectives and strategic projects.
  • Motivational leadership to guide employees toward common solutions in biodiversity and natural environments.
  • Ability to simplify complex information for a variety of audiences.
  • Good judgement, analytical skills, political sav‑vy and diplomacy.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
Benefits
  • Basic paid group insurance for you and your family: medical, dental, life, disability, etc.
  • Access to wellness and health accounts to support your lifestyle.
  • Flex‑Alto account of $500 to encourage a healthier approach and a more sustainable mode of transportation.
  • A retirement plan and savings options (RRSP and TFSA).
  • Vacations based on experience, available upon hiring.
  • An incentive compensation programme.
