Position Highlights:
- Position: Physical Therapy Assistant II
- Location: 1200 S York Street, Elmhurst, IL (Center for Health site)
- Full Time, 40 hours weekly
- Hours: Days with 1 early evening shift. One Saturday per month
What you will do:
Under general supervision and in conjunction with a Physical Therapist, assists in carrying out individualized programs of physical therapy. Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by correctly following individualized and effective treatment plans, to achieve precise, functional goals. Develops treatment goals consistent with the physical therapist's treatment plan. Provides direct physical therapy services to patients. Educates patients and engages them in their own care. Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy. Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
What you will need:
- Experience with lymphedema and sports medicine
- Requires an Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current State of Illinois Physical Therapy Assistant licensure within ninety days of start date
- Current CPR (BLS) Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Required without License: Notification from Continental Testing Services advising of receipt and approval of application for licensure (if first-time test taker). "Authorization to Test" (ATT) letter from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Confirmation of Computer-Based Exam
