Position Overview

The Technical Services Manager brings strong knowledge of concrete construction, including experience in areas such as admixtures, ready-mix, durability and service life, waterproofing, concrete repair, or related technologies. This role provides engineering and technical support for waterproofing, protection, and repair projects to both internal teams and customers.

  • Reporting To: Director of Technical Services
  • Direct Reports: 0
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

Project Technical Support:

  • Prepare detailed submissions and provide testing support (trial batching, mock-ups, data reviews) for key projects.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and investigate product or installation concerns.
  • Conduct strategic site visits in North America and internationally to support significant projects and resolve challenges.

Technical Sales Support:

  • Partner with Sales teams to provide technical expertise on high-priority opportunities.
  • Represent Xypex at key industry events including conferences, tradeshows, and technical committees.

Technical Training:

  • Deliver training to employees, distributors, and partners — including webinars, in-person sessions, and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Ensure accurate distribution and consistent use of technical documents and guidance

Research & Development Support:

  • Support product development through testing, performance evaluation, and customer feedback
  • Participate in test programs and assist with analysis of results to improve products and applications.

Technical Documents and Sales Materials:

  • Contribute to writing and reviewing technical content including product data sheets, application guides, and technical notes.
  • Evaluate third-party reports to ensure alignment with Xypex product knowledge and performance claims.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field or combination of education & experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in concrete or construction and/or laboratory
  • Ability to write technical documents and read drawings
  • Sales or project management experience is an asset

Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to Xypex. While the expected salary range is $130,000 - $160,000, we may consider a different amount depending on the experience, knowledge, and skills of the successful candidate.
