Group Sales Director
to drive commercial success across our diverse publishing imprints, managing relationships with major retailers and leading a team of sales professionals across home and international export markets.
The Opportunity This is a high-impact strategic role where you’ll work directly with our CEO and Managing Directors to develop and execute sales strategies that maximise revenue, market share, and profitability. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you’ll champion our authors and books while shaping the future of our sales function in an evolving retail landscape.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement sales strategy across all imprints and channels
Negotiate major commercial agreements with key retail partners, along with CEO and CFO
Drive global revenue growth through innovative channel development
Develop and motivate a high-performing team of approximately 70 people
Provide strategic insight to inform publishing decisions
Collaborate with global peers to align strategies and share best practices
Lead digital transformation efforts within the sales division
Who You Are
Senior sales leader with proven track record at Director/Executive level
Deep experience in publishing, media, or consumer goods
Established relationships with major UK/international retailers
Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience
Strategic thinker who translates plans into measurable results
Passionate advocate for books, authors, and reading
Collaborative leader who thrives in a matrixed organisation
