FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers of Chicago is looking for an exceptional *PRN Physical Therapist* to support patient care across our growing network of clinics. We are seeking clinicians who value flexibility, autonomy, and high-quality treatment, and who are excited to work in diverse clinical environments throughout our territory.
Ideal candidates will have experience in outpatient orthopedics, vestibular/balance rehab, and workers’ compensation cases. Specialty skills such as *dry needling, pelvic health, and sports medicine* are highly valued but not required.
*About the Role*
As a PRN Physical Therapist, you will provide patient-centered, 1:1 care at one or more of our FYZICAL locations based on staffing needs, PTO coverage, census fluctuations, or specialty caseloads. This role is perfect for therapists seeking flexible hours, supplemental income, or exposure to multiple clinic settings while working with a supportive and collaborative team.
*Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care*
* Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapy across a broad range of orthopedic, balance, vestibular, and neurological conditions.
* Provide coverage for municipal employee and workers’ compensation cases as needed.
* Incorporate specialty skills (dry needling, pelvic health, sports medicine) when applicable and credentialed.
* Adjust and progress treatment plans based on patient performance and clinical judgment.
* Provide clear education to patients and caregivers on home programs, expectations, and injury prevention.
*Documentation & Compliance*
* Complete accurate documentation following IDFPR, Medicare, APTA, and all payer guidelines.
* Ensure timely submission of notes consistent with clinic policy.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA and FYZICAL quality standards.
*Team Collaboration*
* Communicate effectively with clinic directors, PTAs, support staff, and referring physicians.
* Participate in occasional in-services, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities depending on availability.
* Represent FYZICAL’s mission and uphold our culture of clinical excellence at every location.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree (MPT) from an accredited program.
* Current and active Illinois Physical Therapist License.
* CPR/BLS certification.
* Outpatient experience strongly preferred, especially vestibular or orthopedic.
* Experience in municipal or workers’ comp rehab is a plus.
* Specialty training (dry needling, pelvic health, sports rehab) highly valued.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new clinic environments.
