As a Mobile Diesel Service Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our clients' fleet and responding to service calls directly at their locations. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive top-notch service, encompassing tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, visual inspections, parts removal, installation, report writing, and more, all in accordance with proper manuals and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Maintain equipment in accordance with company standards. Perform basic maintenance on the service truck, including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections. Manage inventory and ensure the service truck is fully stocked with necessary tools and parts. Report daily to the Service Manager and receive assigned duties. Be available for after-hours service calls and maintain a flexible work schedule. Conduct diagnostic procedures using various tools and technical information to identify and perform necessary repairs. Engage in the diagnosis, removal, and replacement of diesel engine components and systems. Document all service activities accurately in the company computer system. Ensure safety devices and protective guards are inspected and maintained. Lubricate moving parts and verify vehicle repairs through test drives. Provide preventative maintenance services upon request. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing inquiries and advising on upcoming repair needs. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility. A current, valid CDL and Medical card per FMVS requirements. Proven mechanical aptitude and technical skills. A valid driver license with a driving record that meets our insurance carrier's guidelines.
