We are 50Hertz – one of the four transmission system operators (TSO) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 2,100 employees ensure that electricity flows over long distances reliably, with minimal loss, and optimally managed. As a TSO, we play a central role in the implementation of the energy transition from a technical and economic perspective, acting as a facilitator. Our goal is to integrate 100 percent renewable energy into the grid and system securely and affordably by 2032.

Your tasks:

• You actively support our team in all phases of product development: ideation, software development, testing, and operations,
• You work closely with different product and business teams,
• You contribute to our understanding of modern and innovative technologies as well as business processes within the area of energy transmission,
• You are interested in managing projects in an agile manner and taking on smaller projects independently,
• You are motivated to actively participate in software development projects.

• Are committed to pursuing your advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on computer science,
• Have fundamental experience in frontend development (JS/TS),
• Are team-orientated, independent, self-sufficient, and organised,
• Ideally have a certain affinity for code quality and communication skills,
• Are proficient in the common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
• Have a very good knowledge of English (C1) and ideally also understand German (B2).

Knowledge of backend programming in .NET, Java or Python is not a must, but makes your application even more interesting for us.
