Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this position is responsible for business professional full-cycle recruitment. This role will also conduct exit interviews, assist with onboarding, and participate in various Human Resources initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong recruitment background with proven experience specialized searches.
Major Responsibilities:
Actively attract and qualify permanent, contract, and future pipeline candidates
Foster relationships and develop networks of high caliber professionals
Develop strategic sourcing strategies which align with the business hiring plans
Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future requirements
Act as a brand ambassador, building and communicating the firm's employee value proposition
Leverage internal talent sources to drive mobility, employee referrals, and alumni engagement
Identify, researching and implementing pre-hire assessment tools
Continually review and improve processes
Develop and coordinate job descriptions in conjunction with the compensation department
Act as a Subject Matter Expert and key consultant to hiring managers and candidates by guiding them through each phase of the recruitment process and pivoting as needed
Screen candidate applications and provide hiring recommendations
Manage relationships with educational institutions
Coordinate and manage in-person and MS Teams interviews with candidates
Draft offer letters, present opportunities to candidates, and complete onboarding requirements
Provide salary recommendations to compensation department for approval
Conduct and record exit interviews for Toronto staff, and notify leadership of trends
Manage the transfer and promotion process including drafting letters, ensuring necessary paperwork is complete and supporting the hiring manager
Provide support to the HR Coordinator for employee onboarding, orientation, Student programs, and other events
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
This position requires a post secondary education in a related business/HR discipline accompanied with at least two years of related recruitment experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
Knowledge and Skills
2+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition and HR principles
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships including confidential and tactful manner
Experience maintaining and administering an Applicant Tracking System
Excellent time management and prioritization with an ownership mindset
Knowledge of all relevant employment legislation including the Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act
Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills; warm, inviting and engaging
Strong relationship-building and networking skills
Strong verbal and written communication and active listening skills
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
