Clearwater Structures Inc. is a general contractor and an industry leader in the heavy civil construction sector. We specialize in new bridge construction and rehabilitation, hydraulic lifting, concrete restoration, dam construction and several other services. We are currently hiring for a Foreperson to join our team in Central East Ontario (Kingston, Nappanee, Perk and Surrounding Area ).

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Foreperson will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operation and management of projects. The Foreman will manage crews/equipment, ensuring safety and quality of work.

Position Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage the day-to-day site activities including workforce, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring the work performed is in accordance with project requirements, quality standards, schedule and budget
  • Responsible and accountable for site reporting requirements including but not limited to; payroll, safety documentation, equipment tracking, look-a-head schedules, etc.
  • Assist with coordination and delivery to the job site of all materials and equipment in a timely manner and as required by the project schedule
  • Assist with monitoring of project costs and budget
  • Manage/Coordinate safety requirements to ensure project work is executed with the highest quality standards and all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met

Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior heavy civil construction experience
  • Supervisory or Team Lead experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to command respect (particularly with Health & Safety requirements and regulations)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable and takes ownership of their work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Must be willing to travel to and/or work from various job sites
  • Must be willing to work overnight shifts and weekends if/when required due to project deadlines and demands
  • Must have a full valid G driver's license and clean abstract

What we offer:

  • $41.24/hr
  • Company Vehicle Provided

While this is a seasonal position, we are looking for solid reliable candidates who will be a part of our team each construction season. #CWS
