This position is based on site at the NWR Sturgeon Refinery working a 9/80 schedule.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager the Administrator - Accounts Payable is responsible for accounts payable activities including processing invoices, payments, filing and answering queries from external and internal sources. The Administrator - Accounts Payable is a key member of the North West Redwater Partnership (NWR) Finance and Information Systems Department.
Responsibilities:
- Invoice payment entry, posting of invoices and payment batches, cheque/EFT payment generation as required;
- Administration of corporate credit card and purchasing cards;
- Account reconciliations (visa and accounts payable clearing accounts);
- Works with SCM, warehouse receiving and business unit owners to resolve invoicing issues;
- Entry and resolution of employee expense reports per NWR policy;
- Manages ad-hoc payment inquiries as required;
- Assists in the calculation of month end accounts payable accruals;
- All other duties as required
Requirements:
- Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR's Core Competencies to drive results and a high performing culture;
- Formal education in accounting, accounts payable or office administration would be an asset;
- 2-4+ years of accounts payable or administrative experience;
- Experience using an ERP system would be beneficial (SAP, JDE, Maximo, Dynamics AX);
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and Word; efficient and accurate data entry (keying) skills;
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems and procedures is required; ability to prioritize daily tasks;
- Must be a team player who is willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information and guidance;
- Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; motivated and energetic with the ability to multi-task;
- Must have a high degree of integrity and be able to deal with confidential information appropriately;
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a steady-paced environment, responding to multiple internal and external stakeholders;
- Willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to support business requirements.
