Licensed Practical Nurse

Joe's Family Pharmacy is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our growing team In this role you will cruise around Esquimalt, Victoria, and Saanich in a company vehicle providing essential nursing care and support to patients, ensuring their health and comfort while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional services. Our clients are diverse and require medications daily, including insulin, OAT (Methadone/Kadian), injections, and patch applications.

This s a full-time position. We are in operation days a week.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments in their home.
• Provide direct patient care and support in a compassionate manner.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about medications and health management.

Requirements

• Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Canada
• Experience in addictions care preferred
• Experience in diabetes care is an asset
• Strong skills in medication administration and patient assessment
• First Aid and CPR
• Insurance
• Valid Canadian Driver's License
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
