Employment Requirements

· Residing in Alberta

· Valid driver's license and acceptable abstract – client / vendor site visits required (project dependent)

· Legally entitled to work in Canada (must maintain a valid CDN Social Insurance Number for duration of employment)

Primary Role

· Responsible for the execution of electrical and controls engineering for design build HVAC projects

Duties and Responsibilities

· 0-4 years' experience. EIT must work under the direct supervision of a professional engineer; assignments are limited in scope / complexity and work / analysis / calculations are supervised in detail.

· Assist intermediate and senior level engineers.

· Working knowledge of codes and regulatory obligations to ensure requirements are incorporated into designs.

· Prepare reports, calculations, data sheets, and other deliverables per established criteria.

· Review discipline drawings for compliance with project objectives, client requirements, ITS procedures, and industry standards.

· Compile attachments for material requisition (MR) and construction work package (CWP).

· Respond to technical questions or concerns with mentor support.

· May provide guidance to technologists / designers or other non-professional roles.

Skill and Abilities

· Previous experience with HVAC control and automation engineering

· Design and consulting experience is preferred

Work Experience & Education

  • 0-4 years' instrumentation and control engineering
  • Control panel design preferred
  • P. eng and registration with APEGA preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
