THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Accountant AR& AP role requires a meticulous and reliable Accountant to perform the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This role is vital to maintaining the financial health and operational accuracy of our organization. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE ACCOUNTANT AR&AP - ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain complete and accurate financial records using computerized accounting systems (SAGE50).

· Manage both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

· Review, verify, and record vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer payments.

· Prepare and issue payments, cheques, and remittances, process incoming receipts from clients.

· Reconcile AR and AP ledgers, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accounts are balanced.

· Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

· Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls, and government reporting requirements.

· Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

· Perform additional bookkeeping and accounting tasks to assist with management and audit processes.

REQUIREMENTS – WHAT YOU BRING TO THE COMPANY:

· Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

· Proven experience in AR/AP functions and general bookkeeping.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

· Experience in Sage 50 would be an advantage.

· Maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive company information.

· Adhere to company policies, including ethical conduct, conflict of interest, and device usage.

TOTAL REWARDS:


• Base Salary $40,000 - $60,000 annually based on skill set and experience.
