Job Title: Datadog Administrator

Location: Canada (REMOTE)

Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Datadog agents and controllers.
• Excellent understanding for Azure Cloud Environment and IaaS and SaaS components.
• Understanding of Application Environment setup.
• Monitor application performance and identify bottlenecks using Datadog.
• Configuring business transactions, health rules, alerts, analytics agents, EUM for prod apps.
• Develop and implement performance tuning strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Datadog into the application lifecycle.
• Creation of customized Health rules for the proactive monitoring.
• Network, Infra and DB monitoring with Datadog.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Datadog.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on Datadog best practices.
• Utilize agentless monitoring techniques to gather performance data without installing agents.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Proven experience with Datadog in a production environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with third-party integrations with Datadog.
• Knowledge in Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge in ITMS Tool ServiceNow.
• Knowledge in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
