osition Summary

The Body Shop Clean-Up Person is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the body shop. This role supports technicians and shop operations by ensuring work areas, tools, and equipment are cleaned and properly maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced automotive repair environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all body shop work areas, including floors, trash bins, repair bays, prep stations, and common areas.
• Wash, detail, and prepare vehicles before and/or after repairs as instructed.
• Assist with moving vehicles in and out of the shop or parking areas.
• Clean tools, equipment, and parts washers; notify management of any needed repairs.
• Maintain supply levels such as rags, cleaners, sandpaper, and other shop materials.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Support body shop staff with basic tasks as needed (e.g., masking cars, organizing parts, sweeping, light maintenance).
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in a body shop, automotive repair, or industrial cleaning role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety practices.

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced automotive repair environment.
• Exposure to chemicals, dust, noise, and varying temperatures (PPE provided).
• Requires bending, lifting, walking, and use of cleaning tools/equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
