Cleaners Needed – Mount Forest

We are seeking a dedicated and environmentally conscious Forester to join our team in Mount Forest. This role involves managing forest resources, ensuring sustainable practices, and maintaining the health of our natural landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for forestry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments. Duties

• Conduct forest surveys and assessments to monitor tree health, growth, and biodiversity.
• Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, thinning, and removal of trees or invasive species.
• Perform facilities maintenance tasks related to forestry equipment and site infrastructure.
• Assist with commercial cleaning and custodial duties in outdoor facilities and work areas.
• Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment and ensuring proper use of tools during fieldwork.
• Support conservation projects by implementing sustainable harvesting practices.
• Engage with community members or clients to provide information about forestry programs and environmental initiatives.
• Manage time effectively to complete multiple field assignments within scheduled deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and facilities maintenance preferred.
• Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and the public.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable forestry practices is desirable.
• Custodial experience or familiarity with cleaning procedures is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license is preferred for travel between sites. This role requires a proactive individual committed to environmental stewardship, safety, and quality work performance in outdoor settings.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
