Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with a Journeyman license or higher to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, industrial machinery, and automation equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and productivity within our facility.
Duties
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all plant electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, PLCs, and industrial automation systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical equipment and control systems in compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems, power distribution panels, and low-/medium-voltage circuits.
- Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and controls technicians to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
- Assist with commissioning of new equipment and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E compliance).
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in manufacturing environments or similar settings.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage (up to 600V) and high voltage applications.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), sensors, vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and calibration procedures.
- Familiarity with schematics reading.
- Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable for integrated system maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to high voltage work and lockout/tagout protocols is mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication during field service operations or client interactions. Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
