Position Summary
We are seeking a Licensed and Registered Architect who is legally authorized to stamp architectural drawings in Canada. This role is ideal for a candidate ready to take on leadership responsibilities in design development, technical oversight, and project coordination. You will play a critical role in shaping the built environment through thoughtful, code-compliant, and innovative design.
Key Responsibilities
- Stamp and seal architectural drawings for permit and construction purposes
- Lead design development from concept through completion
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, clients, and municipal authorities
- Oversee the creation of detailed construction drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning bylaws, and regulations
- Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal design reviews
Qualifications
- Licensed and registered to practice architecture in a Canadian province (e.g., OAA, AIBC, AAA, etc.)
- Authorized to stamp drawings in Canada
- 5–8+ years of post-licensure experience in architectural practice
- In-depth knowledge of relevant provincial building codes (e.g., Ontario Building Code)
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and related architectural software
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience across a variety of project types is an asset
