Are you a skilled Fire Alarm Technician with strong technical expertise and a commitment to keeping people safe? Do you hold your CFAA registration ? Join Levitt-Safety and help support critical life-safety systems for our customers in Fort McMurray.
We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who can perform inspections, verification, programming, and maintenance on a wide range of fire alarm and life-safety systems, all while delivering the exceptional customer experience we're known for.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems and related equipment - including repairs and documenting deficiencies - in accordance with CAN/ULC-S536 and the Alberta Fire Code.
- Verify newly installed fire alarm systems, including associated breaker panels; complete verification reports and program addressable fire alarm panels.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fire alarms, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
- Maintain complete, code-mandated records of inspections, testing, repairs, impairments, and documentation per Levitt ISO standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors as needed; support special project management with the design team and project manager.
- Participate in after-hours and on-call rotations.
- Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, including developing JHAs and Safe Work Practices.
- Represent Levitt-Safety onsite by providing professional, knowledgeable customer service as the Face of Levitt-Safety.
Ideal Qualifications
- Valid CFAA Registration
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Fire Detection, Special Hazards, and programming addressable fire alarm panels.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA, ULC, and applicable Fire Codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technologically adept with mobile devices and laptops.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to obtain security clearance (background check, pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, references).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
