Lifestyle Dental is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time Pediatric Dentist to join our comprehensive, multi-specialty practice in Jacksonville, FL. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients of all ages, with a dedicated children's wing created specifically to make dental visits a positive and fun experience for our youngest patients.
*About Lifestyle Dental:*
Located conveniently across from IKEA® in Jacksonville, we are a one-stop-shop for all dental needs, from general and cosmetic dentistry to orthodontics and oral surgery. Our collaborative team of dentists work together to provide the highest standard of care.
*The Role:*
As our Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. This includes providing a full range of pediatric dental services, from preventive care and education to restorative procedures and emergency care. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a patient and empathetic approach, and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and their parents.
*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*
* Conducting comprehensive oral health exams and diagnosing dental conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
* Providing preventive dental care, such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
* Developing and implementing customized treatment plans.
* Performing restorative procedures, including fillings, crowns, and extractions.
* Managing dental emergencies and providing care for dental injuries.
* Educating patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques and dietary habits.
* Utilizing behavior management techniques to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for children.
* Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to all practice regulations and safety protocols.
*Qualifications:*
* DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
* Completion of pediatric dentistry residency program.
* Board certification in pediatric dentistry.
* Valid and unrestricted Florida dental license.
* PALS certification is preferred.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
