Responsibilities
Apply professional MEP design management across Ridge’s diverse portfolio of projects.
Define design programmes, deliverables, and communication strategies for multiple complex projects.
Lead and chair design team meetings with internal consultants, external partners, and Tier 1 contractors.
Support and establish client technical approval processes and internal quality assurance protocols.
Champion technical innovation and sustainable design, helping teams deliver high‑quality, creative solutions.
Capture project briefs and distil them into design delivery schedules.
Manage project requirements, progress reporting, and receipt of design information across multiple workstreams.
Lead and coordinate MEP teams to deliver coherent and well‑rehearsed presentations.
Manage virtual design teams across multiple time zones.
Maintain clear and accurate records and reports.
Manage project risk, change, and compliance.
Manage project financials, ensuring profitability, margin, and revenue targets are met in line with Ridge’s business objectives.
Mentor and develop team members to achieve project and business goals.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and other professionals to secure repeat business and future opportunities.
Ensure compliance with Ridge’s Project Delivery Process, including project management, financial management, QA/QC, and technical review.
Skills and Experience Required
Influential design leader with the ability to shape project teams and add value at all stages of a project.
Proven experience managing design teams and acting as MEP Design Lead on complex projects.
Strong background in the Construction Industry, specifically MEP Engineering, and a sound technical knowledge of MEP systems.
Commercial and financial awareness, including project P&L management.
In‑depth understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work across all project stages.
Knowledge of the BSRIA Guide BG 6/2018 Design Framework for Building Services.
Proficiency in digital tools such as MS Excel, MS Project, and document management platforms.
Experience defining BIM deliverables and managing design programming.
Ability to work autonomously, as part of a wider team, and lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
Flexible and willing to travel regularly to service projects and clients.

Adaptable and resilient in fast‑paced, dynamic environments, including out‑of‑sequence and fast‑track projects.
