Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer – Parental Leave Cover at the LEGO Group. This is a temporary role for approximately one year. We do not offer financial support for relocation for this role. Core Responsibilities
Develop working and robust machine learning models to solve complex problems. Build end-to-end ML and AI solutions that are easy to maintain and scale. Collaborate with partners to ensure data science work delivers real value. Contribute to our ways of working and help establish standard methodologies. Stay up to date with machine learning developments across the industry. The AI + Data Science Organisation at LEGO Group hosts around 50 data scientists and engineering colleagues, distributed across Denmark and the UK. You will report into the Trade Promotion Effectiveness team, which provides insights and guidance to Key Account Managers and B2B customers on trade promotions. The role focuses on building scalable, production-ready solutions. What You’ll Do / Tasks
Develop and deploy machine learning models; ensure scalability and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver measurable value. Contribute to standard methodologies and ways of working. Qualifications
One or more of: data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field. Experience creating working ML/AI solutions in a large organization; comfortable in an agile cross-functional setup with diverse partners. Proficiency with Python (or similar languages) and ML libraries (e.g., PySpark, scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch). Experience with general software development practices including code management (Git) and testing. Collaborative spirit and a can-do attitude. Perseverance with a well-rounded view on creating solutions. Desirable: experience with Databricks and MLflow for ML training and experimentation. What’s in it for you?
