We NEED a Dental Hygienist!!! Two of our long standing hygienists retired this year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene services.
Our office is a single doctor, and fee for service. We pride ourselves on being punctual while providing a high level of service. The two main hygiene chairs have a Piezo on the chair and a Cavitron. We have a CBCT to use for FMX as well. The office was originally established 50+ years ago, so the patient feel is combination of family style mixed with the downtown business crowd. We provide patient and employee parking next to our building. 1 hour Hygiene appointments.
We are looking for a hygienist to join for anywhere from 1 to 4 days a week. We work Monday through Thursday, but will be adding 1 Friday a month.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
* Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout.
* Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and appointment scheduling.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols.
* Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Provide support in pediatric dentistry by engaging with young patients to alleviate anxiety and promote positive experiences.
*Skills*
* Strong background in patient care with a focus on general dentistry practices.
* Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
* Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and treatments.
* Experience in dental assisting is advantageous for effective collaboration with the dental team.
* Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles to cater to younger patients effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health.
* Ability to perform thorough patient assessments while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
